Before You Start
Make sure you have:
A video or audio file uploaded to the CAMB.ai dashboard
Selected the target language you want to translate into

Step-by-Step: Generate AI Translations
Follow these steps to generate translations.
1. Upload your media file
Upload your video or audio to the CAMB.ai dashboard.
2. Select the target language
Open the Target Language section.
Choose the language you want (for example, Hindi).
Click Confirm.
3. Add more languages (optional)
If you want translations in multiple languages:
Click Add Language.
Select additional languages.
Choose one of the following options:
Generate Translations — Creates subtitles only
Generate Translations and Dub — Creates subtitles and voice dubbing
4. Generate the translation
Click Generate Translation.
For more languages, click 'Add' and select. You can choose 'Generate Translations' (subtitles only) or 'Generate Translations And Dub' (subtitles and voice).
5. Wait for processing
CAMB.ai will process your request.
When it finishes, a confirmation notification appears at the bottom-right corner.
The generated translations will now appear in the editor.
How Can I Review and Edit Translations in CAMB.ai?
After generating translations, you can review and edit them.
CAMB.ai provides several tools to help you improve the dialogue for better tone, style, or timing.
Available editing tools(Floating Tool Bar)
Edit Dialogue
Click a dialogue line to modify the translation.Merge Dialogues
Combine two nearby dialogues to improve pacing or lip-sync.Delete Dialogue
Remove a dialogue without affecting the timestamps.Edit Time Stamps
Adjust the start or end time of a dialogue.
Avoid overlapping dialogue timings.Add Dialogue
Insert a new dialogue with preset timestamps.Change Speaker
Use the Speaker menu to assign a different speaker.

🎉 Once all your edits are done, you are ready to generate your dubbed outputs!
How To Download Your Translations?
Click the Download option in the top-right menu.
Select the format you want.

What can I download if the dubbing isn't done yet?
If the dubbing is not completed yet, you can download:
Available download formats (before dubbing):
.SRT file (subtitle format)
.TXT file (text format with timestamps)
⚠️ Dubbed audio files are only available after the dubbing process is complete.
In the screenshot above, you can see the “Stale Mix” message with Re-generate and Download Anyway options.
To export the full video, go to the Target Language tab and re-generate the stale dialogues.
Otherwise, export for that language will stay disabled.
Here, Hindi (India) is grayed out, which means it is disabled.
If you choose Download Anyway, you can select the video format and download the file without regenerating the stale dialogues.
Tips / Notes
Translation edits cannot be undone, so review carefully before saving.
CAMB.ai translations are contextual, not word-for-word translations.
This helps make dubbing sound more natural and conversational.
Use the Side-by-Side Comparison View to compare the original text and the translated text.
