This guide explains how to generate voiceovers using the dubbing interface.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Where do I start to generate a voiceover?

  • Open your project in Dubbing mode. At the top of the screen, you’ll see the Original language (for example, Chinese) and the Target language (for example, English(IN).

  • You can see that all dialogues are muted since the voiceover hasn’t been generated yet.

  • You’ll also notice the Nova notification at the top, which guides you step by step.

What should I do before generating the voiceover?

  • First, review the translated dialogues carefully. The system prompts you with a message like “Just check the translation, let’s make sure it’s perfect before we move on.”

  • Once everything looks good, you can proceed by clicking "Looks Good."

How do I start generating voiceovers?

  • After confirming the translations, the system asks:

  • “Want just the audio, or go all the way with the final mix?”

  • You’ll see two options:

    • Voiceovers Only – Quick and light, ideal for previewing voices.

    • Generate Final Mix – Produces the complete output with voiceovers synced to the video.

What happens when I choose “Voiceovers Only”?

  • This option generates audio-only voiceovers.

  • It’s useful for quickly reviewing pronunciation, tone, and pacing before committing to the final mix.

What happens when I choose “Generate Final Mix”?

  • The system processes the voiceovers and syncs them with the video.

  • You’ll see progress messages like “Just a moment! I am working on your voiceovers…” while the generation is in progress.
