Edit your Translations

🌐 **Cloud-Powered Efficiency:**

The portal operates in the cloud, consistently saving your changes. Ensure a stable network connection for successful saves.

πŸ’» **Collaboration Caution:**

Maintain a single-user focus. Simultaneous work by two users may result in overwritten changes.

πŸ” **Effortless Navigation:**

Highlight a dialogue to enter edit mode, and clicking outside auto-saves your edits.

Here is a list of the different editing possibilities you have within the platform:

1. ✏️ Edit translations

You can edit your translations in any way you want. You just have to click on the dialogue you want to modify and start making changes. Once you're done, click outside the dialogue to save your changes.

2. 🩹 Merge Dialogues

You can merge 2 adjacent dialogues by the same speaker to improve lip-sync, or to improve the speed of the dubbed dialogue.

Click on the 3 dots on the right corner of the dialogue you're currently editing and choose "Merge Next" from the drop-down menu.

🚨 Merge Option Limitation: The merge feature exclusively works for dialogues spoken by the same speaker. Merging is not possible if dialogues are from different speakers.

3. ❌ Delete Dialogues

You can delete a dialogue. This does not affect timestamps of other dialogues. Click on the 3 dots on the right corner of the dialogue you're currently editing and choose "Delete" from the drop-down menu.

4.βŒ› Edit Time Stamps

Change the start time or end time of a dialogue. However, you cannot make 1 dialogue overlap with another. You can do this manually by changing the timestamps of the dialogue or by moving the waveform of said dialogue.

5. βž• Add New Dialogue

When audio transcript gaps occur due to background separation, utilize this option to add dialogues. Perform this action in the source language transcript, not in translations. The start time and end time will be pre-populated.

Click on a dialogue to highlight it and then click on the 3 dots on the right corner. You can choose the β€œAdd Before” option to add a dialogue before the highlighted dialogue or the "Add After" to add a dialogue after the highlighted dialogue.

A new dialogue box will emerge. Choose a speaker and input your dialogue. πŸ—£οΈπŸ’¬

πŸ’Ύ Don't Forget to Save:

Secure your changes by clicking the β€œTick Mark” icon situated on the right side of the new dialogue. βœ…

You can also add a new dialogue on a given position on the waveform. Just pause your video and place the progress bar where you want the new dialogue to be inserted. Then click the "βž•" sign on top of the waveform and add a new dialogue.

Insert your dialogue, choose a speaker and πŸ’Ύ Don't Forget to Save

Other Edit options

  • ⏰ Time Stamp Tweaks: If timestamps don't align with the video or audio, effortlessly edit by clicking and typing a new timestamp. For precision, use the dialogue box and the waveform diagram on the bottom of the screen to make them match.

  • πŸ—£οΈ Speaker Swap: If the assigned speaker doesn't match the current one in the video/audio, easily switch speakers. Click the Speaker box, and make the change seamlessly by choosing the correct speaker from the drop-down menu.
