I generated my first video, what now?

Now that you have your transcription ready, you can go ahead and generate the translation(s). But first, let's revise some things.

Once transcription for the source language is generated, this is what you'll see:

You can change and personalize the settings for your speakers with the option "Speaker settings" on the top right corner, next to the button "Generate translations". Here is a helpful article with everything you need to know about Speaker settings.

In this step, you can also modify your transcription freely and move around the waveform, which is on the bottom of the screen.

How to generate, review, and download text Translations

1. Generate Translations

  • Click "1: Generate Translation" at the Top Right Corner โฌ†๏ธ

  • Click on "Generate Translations"

  • In the pop-up window, choose your preferred language for translation, then hit the "Generate" button.

  • Wait for the translations to be generated. They'll be showcased on the screen.

  • Once translations are generated, you'll get a confirmation pop-up window on the bottom right corner.

2. View Translations

Once generated, you'll be redirected to the translations for the selected language.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: Camb.AI specializes in delivering contextual and metaphorical translations rather than literal ones. Our translations are crafted with the understanding that they will be employed for video or audio dubbing, resulting in a more conversational and expressive tone. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐ŸŽฅ

  • Side-by-Side Comparison View: For a comprehensive comparison between translations and the original dialogue we display the source language below the target language.

3. Edit Translations

Please Note: These changes cannot be undone.

  1. โœ๏ธ Improving Translations: To modify a translation, click on the dialogue you want to edit. It will be highlighted for editing.

  2. ๐Ÿฉน Merge Dialogues: You can merge 2 adjacent dialogues by the same speaker to improve lip-sync, or to improve the speed of the dubbed dialogue.

  3. โŒ Delete Dialogue: You can delete a dialogue. This does not affect time stamps of other dialogues.

  4. โŒ› Edit Time Stamps: Change the start time or end time of a dialogue. However, you cannot make 1 dialogue overlap with another.

  5. โž• Add New Dialogue: Add a new dialogue before or after a given dialogue. The start time and end time will be pre-populated.

  6. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธSpeaker-Dialogue Assignment: Change the speaker assigned to a dialogue. You can do this by clicking on the Speaker drop-down menu of the dialogue you're currently editing and choosing a different speaker.

Here is a helpful article with everything you need to know about Dialogue Edit Options.

๐ŸŽ‰ Once all your edits are done, you are ready to generate your dubbed outputs!

4. Download your translations

Once you are done editing, you can download your translation before dubbing your output. You just have to go to the drop-down menu from the top right corner "Generate dubbed output" and choose "Step 3: Download Output"

As you haven't generated the dubbed output yet, you won't be able to download them, but you can download the subtitles for your video with their corresponding timestamps in .srt or .txt format.
