Step 1 β€” Upload Your Video

  1. Open the Home page.

  2. Select Dubbing from the left panel.

  3. Upload your video using one of the following options:

    • Drag and drop your video/audio file

    • Paste a Google Drive link

Supported file types include MP4, MOV, MXF, MP3, WAV, AAC, and FLAC.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Ensure Google Drive links are publicly accessible.

Step 2 β€” Enter Project Details

Provide the basic project information:

  • Project Name – A clear title for your project

  • Source Language – Original language of the video

  • Target Language(s) – Languages you want to dub into

You can select multiple target languages for multilingual dubbing.

Step 3 β€” Choose Processing Mode

You can select how far Dub Studio should process the project.

End-to-End Dubbing (Recommended only for 1-2 Speaker videos)

Automatically performs:

  • Transcription

  • Translation

  • Voice generation

This is the fastest way to create a dubbed output.

Step-wise Processing (Recommended for Multi-Speaker entertainment videos)

Use this if you want manual control:

  • Stop after transcription

  • Review translations before dubbing

  • Adjust lip-sync or dialogue timing

Step 4 β€” Advanced Settings

These settings allow you to customize your dubbing output.

General Settings

  • Description – Add project notes

  • Number of Speakers – Specify speakers in the video

  • Folder Selection – Organize your project

  • Keyword - specific terms, brand names, or technical vocabulary file

Specify Translation Style

This is a context-aware prompt that tells the AI how to translate, not just what to translate. It bridge the gap between a literal translation and a culturally accurate one.

  • Tone Control: You can dictate whether the output is Formal (for business/legal), Casual (for vlogs/social media), or Poetic (for creative works).

  • Space Management (Conciseness): Essential for dubbing. By requesting a "concise" style, the AI shortens the translated text so it fits within the original timing of the speaker's lip movements, preventing the audio from running too long.

  • Custom Instructions: Beyond the "Formal and concise" suggestion, you can enter specific prompts like "Use Gen-Z slang" or "Avoid technical jargon" to match your specific audience.

Custom Audio Settings

You can enable additional audio controls:

  • Skip Source Separation – Use when audio is already clean

  • Silent Background – Remove background sound

  • Overdubbing – Layer new audio on top of the original track

  • Background/Foreground Audio – Upload custom audio tracks

Step 5 β€” Custom Script (Optional)

If you already have subtitles, you can upload them.

Supported format: .SRT

Options include:

  • Upload source subtitles

  • Upload translated subtitles

  • Let AI generate translations automatically

Step 6 β€” Start the Dubbing Process

Click Begin Dubbing Project.

Once complete, your dubbed video will be available in the editor.
