  1. No, you cannot merge dialogues spoken by different speakers in CAMB.ai.

  2. The merge feature only works for dialogues by the same speaker.

  3. If the speakers are different, merging is not allowed.

How Can I Delete Dialogues in CAMB.ai? 🗑️

You can delete any dialogue in one click without affecting other timestamps.

  1. Select the dialogue you want to remove.

  2. Click the delete icon.

  3. The dialogue is deleted instantly.

❌ Deleting a dialogue will not change the timing or placement of the others.

How Can I Edit Timestamps in CAMB.ai? ⏱️

You can change the start or end time of any dialogue to improve sync.

  1. Click on the dialogue you want to adjust.

  2. Manually change the start time or end time.

  3. Or move the waveform to change its timing.

⚠️ You cannot overlap one dialogue with another.

  1. In the source language transcript, click the (+) icon before or after a dialogue.

  2. A new box will appear.

  3. Choose a speaker and type your dialogue.

  4. The start and end time will fill in automatically.

Secure your changes by clicking the “Tick Mark” icon situated on the right side of the new dialogue. ✅

You can also add a new dialogue on a given position on the waveform. Just pause your video and place the progress bar where you want the new dialogue to be inserted. Then click the "➕" sign on top of the waveform and add a new dialogue.

You can now split long dialogues quickly using the "Split at cursor position" option.

Steps to Split a Dialogue:

  1. Move the play bar on the waveform to where you want to split.

  2. Right-click your mouse.

  3. Select "Split at cursor position" from the dropdown menu.

After Clicking:

  • A pop-up will appear with a slider bar.

  • Use the slider to decide:

    • Which words stay in the first dialogue.

    • Which words move to the second dialogue.

  • Click "Save 💾".

🎉 You will now have 2 separate dialogues instead of 1.

If a dialogue's timestamp doesn’t match the video or audio, you can fix it easily.

  1. Click the timestamp you want to change.

  2. Type in the correct time manually.
