Updated this week

✅ What Is a Speaker in CAMB.ai?

A speaker is the voice used in your project for dubbing or narration. Each speaker has a name, tone, and voice style.

You can use:

  • A voice taken from your original video

  • A stock or custom voice from your library

  • Go to your CAMB.ai project

  • Click Speaker Settings at the top-right corner

Step 2: Click Add New Speaker

  • Fill out the speaker profile:

    • Name

    • Age

    • Gender

    • Formality (formal or casual tone)

Step 3: Choose the Voice Source

  • Voice from video: Clone from your video’s audio

  • Voice reference: Choose a stock or custom voice

🔁🗣️How to Change a Speaker for a Dialogue?

  1. Open your project and go to Dialogue Editor

  2. Find the dialogue line you want to change

  3. Click the speaker box

  4. Choose a different speaker from the list

❌🗣️ How to Remove or Delete a Speaker in CAMB.ai?

A. Remove the Speaker from Dialogues First

  • Check if the speaker is used in any dialogue

  • Reassign those dialogues to a different speaker using the dropdown

B. Delete the Speaker Profile

  • Go to Speaker Settings

  • Find the speaker you want to delete

  • Click the trash bin icon to delete

⚠️ You can only delete a speaker if it is not used in any dialogue.

✅ What Happens After You Add a Speaker?

  • The new speaker will appear in your project wherever you assign them.

  • If you chose "Voice from video", make sure this person speaks in the video. CAMB.ai will clone their voice from that.

  • If you chose a Voice Reference, their selected or cloned voice will be used right away.
